Recognition of Prior Learning
RPL is a process where students use their existing knowledge, skills and experiences (gained through life experiences and/or other employment) to demonstrate their competency in a particular unit. This allows you to gain qualifications without having to duplicate learning. Achieving competency in a unit is not guaranteed and it is the responsibility of the applicant to provide sufficient evidence to support their RPL application.
|RPL may involve:||Download
Competency conversation/assessment interview
Work samples or photos of work samples
References and support from supervisors or others
Self evaluation forms
Existing ACMS AMI 3-6 Diploma holders with the Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, have an opportunity to receive recognition of their AMI 3-6 Diploma as equivalent to the Diploma in education and care, via the RPL process. Please contact us for further information about the RPL process.
